Turkmenistan has restricted the export of Alabai dogs to protect the population.
According to “Report”, the relevant law was signed by the country’s president, Serdar Berdimuhammedov.
Currently, travelers will need a warrant from a competent authority to take a dog out of the country, and the decision to ban or allow it will be made jointly with members of the government.
Also, all puppies of the Alabai breed will be included in the state breeding book and a special register containing information about breeding dogs.
The owners of the dogs must provide information about their pets in their passports, and the document must reflect the dog’s date of birth, breed, color, and other information.
