The US administration intends to maintain official export restrictions to Moscow as long as the Russian side continues to violate international norms.
“Report” informs that Alan Estevez, the deputy minister of commerce of the United States for industry and security, said this at the hearing held in the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives.
“As long as Russia violates international norms, we will continue the sanctions against this country related to export restrictions,” he said.
Estevez noted that he does not know whether the US administration is discussing the lifting of sanctions and the restoration of normal trade relations with Russia.
“I have not spoken with US President Joseph Biden and I am not aware of any discussions we will have with Russia in this regard.”
