The House of Representatives of the US Congress has approved the draft defense budget for the country’s fiscal year 2023 (which starts on October 1), amounting to about 840 billion dollars.
Report informs that 329 congressmen supported the project and 101 opposed it.
The Senate of the US Congress must also approve its own version of the draft defense budget. After that, a commission will be convened to agree on the details of both projects. Both houses will have to vote again on the agreed document before it will be sent to President Joseph Biden for his signature.
