The Chief Minister of Delhi also said that a special isolation room has been set up in one of the Indian hospitals for the treatment of this disease.
Note that the symptoms of monkeypox are very similar to the symptoms of smallpox. Symptoms last two to four weeks.
According to the World Health Organization, monkeypox is mainly transmitted by close skin-to-skin contact. It is possible to transmit the virus through the respiratory tract, as well as through contaminated bedding.
The incubation period of the disease lasts 6-13 days, but this period can be extended up to 21 days.
