The final stage of the “Rise” competition has been completed

The 3-day final stage of the “Yukselis” competition held at “Baku Expo Center” ended on July 17. On the third day of the final stage, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the competition, the head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism and Religious Affairs of the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov, Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, Assistant to the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin in the liberated territories included in the Karabakh economic region (except Shusha region) Huseynov, Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Maleyka Abbaszade, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Chairman Ulvi Mehdiyev, Head of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, Chairman of the Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund Rahman Hajiyev, Head of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Shahin Seyidzade, Chairman of the Board of “AzerGold” CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov, “BP” Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, vice president for foreign relations and strategy of the company in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey region, Anar Bagirov, chairman of the Bar Association, Anar Novruzov, deputy chief executive director of Azerbaijan Investment Holding, Balakishi Gasimov, general director of Public Television, and chairman of “Yukselis” Public Union, youth and Deputy Minister of Sports Farhad Hajiyev participated.
The participants performed tasks on different cases under the supervision of members of the Organizing Committee and managers. The participants who answered the questions of the managers were evaluated by the managers after the case presentation. Thus, the mentor assigned to each table presented an assessment score to one finalist selected by his/her competence in the team. The mentor score provided will be added to the total score of the participants.
The names of the winners of the second “Rise” competition will be announced within 2 working days.
It should be noted that 116 participants who successfully completed the previous four stages of the competition competed in the final. The participants’ struggle continues over the cases and their 8 competencies (ability to think strategically, ability to focus on results, ability to work in a team, communication skills, management of changes and innovations, leadership, social responsibility and efficiency management) are evaluated by experts.
The winners will have the opportunity to receive personal career advice from top managers of large companies and heads of state institutions, be included in the personnel reserve bank and receive a cash prize of AZN 20,000 within 1 year.
The “Rise” competition was established by the Order signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev on July 26, 2019, in order to identify and support promising executives with high intellectual level and management skills and to ensure the creation of a personnel reserve bank in the country.
