The final of the VIII “Mugam” Television Competition is held in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan.
“Report” reports that the event, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Azerbaijan Television, was organized in the yard of Bulbul’s house-museum.
Well-known artists, culture and art figures participate in the final of the competition.
The judges include the famous mugham performer, People’s Artist Arif Babayev, People’s Artists Malakkhanim Eyyubova, Sardar Farajov, Mansum Ibrahimov, Nazakat Teymurova, Teyyub Aslanov, Honored Artist Fargane Gasimova and the organizer of the competition, Honored Culture Worker Ilgar Fahmi. Young singers Fuad Azizzadeh, Ulkar Abdullayeva, Dashgin Kurchayli, Aynur Hasankhanova, Vugar Abilov, Pedram Ranjbar and Maftun Safarli, as well as young singers Hazrat Azizli, Fatima Karimova and Sabir Agayev will be heard in the final, and the winners will be announced after the deliberation of the jury.
It should be noted that the selection rounds of the competition started on April 9 and covered all regions, including Agdam, Fuzuli and other territories freed from occupation. The competition started on May 10. The competition was broadcast live twice a week for three months through Azerbaijan Television and the “Culture” channel.
