The EU will allocate 433 million euros to support Ukrainian refugees

In order to support Ukrainian refugees, Belgium, Italy and Luxembourg will receive an additional 433.79 million euros from the common funds of the European Union.

“Report” reports with reference to foreign media that this is stated in the statement of the European Commission.

Funds are allocated to support refugees in the field of employment and health.

33.4 million euros granted to Belgium from the European Social Fund will be used to strengthen the system of organization, advice and support in finding a job. The goal is to integrate refugees from Ukraine into the labor market.

The Fund for the Poor in Luxembourg will allocate 390,000 euros to increase food aid to the needy. This will allow meeting not only the needs of low-income families, but also the new needs created by the social consequences of the pandemic.

The funds for Italy will help ease the burden on the health system, increase the employment of refugees and cover the costs of overtime work.
