The chairman of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Serbia has died

Zarifa Alizadeh, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Culture Center operating in Belgrade, the coordinator of the East European Azerbaijanis Coordination Council for Serbia, died after a long and serious illness.

The funeral ceremony with Z. Aliyeva will be held on August 27. He will be buried in the Nova Bejanija cemetery in the capital, Belgrade.

Our compatriot, who was born in Baku, graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (now Uzeyir Hajibeyli Baku Academy of Music), and graduated from the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.

He lived in Serbia since 1989. He was a professor at the Music Academy of the University of Novi Sad.

As the chairman of the Azerbaijan Culture Center, he actively promotes the ancient history, rich culture, art, native language and traditions of our country in Serbia, and through the media of this country, he tried to convey the truths of Azerbaijan to the local public.

The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora expressed its sadness over this heavy loss, expressed deep condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased, the Azerbaijani diaspora in Serbia and the Coordinating Council of Eastern European Azerbaijanis.
