Bilal Haye told journalists in an interview that the relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are developing at the highest level and it covers many fields and has a deep history: “Azerbaijan always supports Pakistan, just as Pakistan supports Azerbaijan. Our country was one of the first states to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan. I thank the government of Azerbaijan for its contribution to the development of bilateral relations.”
The ambassador also spoke about the development of relations in the field of tourism between the countries, and said that currently 4 flights a week are being made from Pakistan’s cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to Azerbaijan, and more than 1,000 tourists visit Azerbaijan in a week. “They come to travel more and get acquainted with Azerbaijan’s business opportunities. This is a good sign for the development of the economic potential of the two countries,” the ambassador said.
“Azerbaijan’s leadership is very important, Azerbaijan is trying to achieve stability, peace and prosperity in the region. There is no alternative but peace. Peace is important not only for neighboring countries, but also for the entire region and the international community,” B. Haye said.
